Menu
Content
- The content is the information that will be shown on the page. For each page on your site you choose what template to use. When you add content to a page, it is automatically placed in the placeholders of the template selected for that page. Click here for more information on templates and stylesheets.
- A template defines content areas, or content blocks. You can add more content blocks to your template, typing the following code into your page template
{content block='block name'}
. These blocks will then appear as text areas when you edit or add a page that uses that template.

Content Types
There are currently 6 main content types in version 1.11.7 "Genovesa". These content types determine the type of content for each menu item.
- Content
- Error Page
- External Page Link
- Internal Page Link
- Section Header
- Separator
The Content type is simply a regular page.
- This page is a content page and is normally the only type of page you will need to use.You may add any content you see fit to this page.
- The layout of these types of pages are controlled by the templates. For each content page you create you must add the title, menu text, choose if it is going to have a parent, and choose a template for it. Login as admin and change the template of a page on your website to see exactly how this works. Otherwise please read our Layman's Terms Instructions Document for more information.
The Error Page type is the page you will set to be shown if there are errors on your site.
- "404 page not found" errors are the most common errors you will need to set a page for.
- When such an error occurs, you can specify the content shown to your website's users if they encounter an error.
- You may also choose a target type and title, and the template it uses.
The External Page Link type is a link to a page outside of your website.
- External Page Links will create a link to a page under a completely different domain name.
- You can add the link title, menu text, choose if it is going to have a parent and a destination page along with the target setting and other options that a content type page has.
- This external page link type also shows up in the menu following the same hierarchy rules as the content type.
- Using this page type will insert a link to an external page in your menu, that appears the same way as other links in your menu. This means it will appear to link to another page of your website, but when clicked will open an external page.
The Internal Page Link type is also just what it sounds like, a link to another internal page.
- An Internal Page Link inserts a link to any page within your website into the menu.
- The internal page link type also shows up in the menu following the same hierarchy rules as the content type.
- You can add the title, menu text, choose if it is going to have a parent and a destination page along with the target setting and other options that a content type page has.
The Section Header type is used to break up menus into groupings (sections).
- Section Headers are used to give a brief insight into what the next few links are in reference to.
- This is unrelated to the hierarchy, as the section headers have no associated pages with them but can be used to group a set of links of similar content under them.
The Separator type is just what it sounds like, a separator that appears on the menus.
- Seperators are used to break up the menu into more managable chunks.
- This type follows the hierarchy set in content management pages.
